SIT Sandwich (Student Exchange) Program for Fall Semester 2023

Dear ITS Students,

Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) Japan would like to offer you Sandwich Program (student exchange) intake Fall 2023 (start from End September to January)

The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, registration fee (30.000 JPY for fall semester only)  dorms and living expenses in Japan including Roundtrip Flight Ticket, Travel Insurance.

This program only open for ITS Students S1 batch 2020, 2021 and S2 batch 2021, 2022 and these students must aware with the travel requirement from Japan Government.

Look under “SIT Mobility Program Participants”
Check all the available courses by clicking “All courses” or choose by the department. You can take courses from any department. Possible to take the courses from both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level if you meet the prerequisites of each course.

Please kindly note that ITS Students must take and transfer the maximum credit transfer opportunity for S1 and 6 sks for S2 per semester. You need to refer in each semester (1st semester refer to fall, 2nd semester refer to spring)

Insurance
Students must have a sufficient travel insurance to cover the entire period of stay in Japan. Students who stay more than 90 days are required to join the health insurance compulsory for all residents in Japan after arrival. SIT covers the fee for the insurance which is university insurance for injuries or accidents related to education and research activities at SIT called, Gakkensai and Gakkenbai.

Visa
Students who stay more than 90 days require visa. SIT assist providing the necessary documents (COE(Certificate of Eligibility) for visa applidation. SIT provides invitation letters for those students from countries which requires visa to enter Japan even if his/her stay is less than 90days.

Arrival in Japan: No pick up service is available

Accommodation Information
It is a students’ responsibility to take the necessary housing arrangement. However, SIT provides sufficient information to help students finding accommodation.

Here the requirement for this program

1. CV (please make sure that you write clearly full name, birth of date, phone number and email in this CV)
2. Certificate of Enrollment
3. Latest of An Academic Transcript in English version (GPA min 3,00 out of 4,00). For master students (S2) they have to submit their S1 Academic Transcript too.
4. Scanned Passport Information page with validity minimum 1 year from Sept 2022.
5. Valid of English Proficiency CEFR B2 equivalent or higher, such as IELTS with score 5.5-6.5 or TOEFL iBT with score 72-94 or TOEFL ITP min 500 will be accepted (The screenshot score of EFL from UPT Bahasa web, TEFL and TOEFL Prediction are not acceptable)
6. 1 recomendation letter from your lecturer/ academic advisor/supervisor
7.  Statement Letter (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange )
8. Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ). Those files must be signed by applicants and the Head/Secretary of Department
9. Pledge Form ( Please kindly signed it and leave blank for institution coordinator section)
10. ITS Students must consult with their parents for the financial aspects and permission to join this program in the middle of pandemic. please kindly provide the statement letter from your parents (in Bahasa) that your parents are support you (all financial & mental) to join this program. (No Format Required)
11. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80 (S2 Applicants can replace it with R2SEP certificate)

The incomplete documents and over deadline applications will not be processed by Mobility Team.

If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_SIT_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline is on 2 May 2023 ( 23.59 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 4 May 2023.
