The 10th International Student Conference on Advanced Science and Technology (ICAST)
Surabaya, 17 – 19th September 2015
In 3 days, more than 30 students from some universities (universities in Indonesia and also abroad) varying from undergraduate till postgraduate degree presented their ideas or research in this conference held by Kumamoto University (KU) Japan together with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, Indonesia. They presented the ideas or research to the conference chair through seminar in Parallel Session and also to the public through Poster Expo. The chair of the conference were from ITS and also KU. After the conference, almost all of them had a city tour around Surabaya and visited some monumental buildings, parks, and landmarks.
Aside from the conference and poster session, some high-school students from Japan also did some presentation for ITS Students. In line with that, ITS students were also given chance to show their projects they have to public. These series of event were united in Student ICAST Expo.
ICAST is one form of engagement between ITS and KU. Hopefully, the engagement between both universities could be long lasted and beneficial each other.
