Researcher and Research Student Enrichment Program (R2SEP)

What is R2SEP?

ITS is one of the best technological institutions in Indonesia. ITS Surabaya is ranked 160 in the QS Asian University Rankings 2022 and ranked 277 in the QS World University Ranking by Subject for Engineering and Technology subject. ITS is committed to proactively be engaged in internationalization to improve the quality of education at ITS as well as to enhance global competence.

Continuing the success of ITS e-program 2020-2021, ITS is committed to open opportunities for professionals and global researchers to share their expertise through the Researcher and Research Student Enrichment Program (R2SEP) 2022.

R2SEP is a research skills oriented program where ITS researchers and research students can learn from a series of guest lectures delivered by worldwide professors and experts. The program is a platform for students to exchange ideas, catch up with the world’s research trends in particular fields, and for overseas professors to share best practices.

Since 2021, R2SEP has been conducted as a workshop series consisting of eight topics:

  • Expectations From Being a Postgraduate Student
  • Finding Research Idea
  • Literature Review: Latest Tools and Methods
  • Common Research Methodology in Your Field
  • Research Management Skills
  • Getting Published
  • Presentation Skills
  • Life Strategy as a Researcher

Fall 2023

Participation of R2SEP Fall 2023

Since 2021, R2SEP has become a compulsory* program for ITS Masters and Doctoral students Fall 2023 intake. Committed to support Goal 4: Quality Education, R2SEP is also open for students of partner universities and global citizen.

Targeted Participants

ITS-based participants:

  • Masters and Doctoral Students (Compulsory for ITS Fall 2023 Intake)
  • Lecturers and researchers

Non-ITS-based participants:

  • Global students
  • Global researchers

Benefits 

E-certificate is given to:

  • International students participating actively no less than 5 meetings (proven with screenshots or questions and interaction)
  • ITS Master’s and Doctoral degree students participating 5 mandatory meetings (see schedule)

Registration

Requirements

  • Scan of student ID card/Citizen ID Card
  • Scan of passport (International Participant)
  • Clear formal picture (International Participants)

“All participants must fill in attendance and feedback in each meeting.”

Certificate of Participation:

If you participated in R2SEP Fall 2021, contact ITS Global Engagement (for international participants) and ITS Postgraduate Program (for ITS Postgraduate students) to claim the Certificate of Participation. Note that you were required to actively participate as minimum as 7 meetings to be entitled of a certificate.
