ITS Surabaya is ranked as the 4th best university in Indonesia according to the assessment by the Indonesia Ministry of Research and Higher Education (2019) and ranked third in the country based on the 2019 Times Higher Education ranking. Established in 1960 as a public technological university, ITS has now grown into an institution with more than 1,000 academic staff, and 38 departments in 7 faculties. Situated in Surabaya, a large port and the second largest city in Indonesia, ITS has a vision to become a world-class research and innovative university, contributing to the society, industry, and marine development. ITS now opens the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), offered for prospective students from around the world and Indonesia.
