To continue the successful accomplishment of previous collaboration between ITS and Heriot-Watt University in the Blue Energy and Blue Economy project, 2021 & 2022, the program is currently proceeding into virtual program and on-site project implementation in Indonesia for 2023. The virtual program will be conducted once a week with the combination of international students from Heriot-Watt University, EPI-Unet and ITS Students, while the on-site project will be applied for three days in a particular area of Blue Energy and Blue Economy implementation in Indonesia. The students are going to have a chance to experience the class with the current updated curriculum on sustainable blue energy and blue economy. The lecturers on this course will consist of academics, professionals, and also expertise on the subject which are from ITS, Heriot-Watt University, Indonesian Blue Energy for Blue Economy Centre (IBEC), and Aquatera Ltd. The best students will be selected and invited to join on-site project implementation batch 2 in Indonesia in 2024.

Virtual Program 2 : 17 October – 12 December 2023
On-site Program 2 : Spring 2024

*The virtual program will be conducted once a week on every Tuesday at 15.30 – 18.00 (UCT+7 / Western Indonesian Time) OR 08.30 – 11.00 (UCT+1 / UK Time)

*The on-site program will be conducted in Sidoasri Village, Malang which is considered as the last village before the ocean where a hundred fisherman live.

This program is open for ITS undergraduate & postgraduate student, Heriot-Watt University students, and other Indonesian and Foreign University Students.
