On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was signed between ITS, represented by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM), and the Rocket Technology Center (Pustekroket) of the Aeronautics and Space Research Organization (ORPA) of the National Innovation Research Agency (BRIN). The signing was carried out by Fadlilatul Taufany PhD as Director of DRPM and Dr. Eng Arif Nur Hakim as Head of Pustekroket.
The signing of the PKS began with a presentation by Dr. Eng Dhany Arifianto as the head of the IoTTP research center on the achievements of rocket research development from various researchers at ITS. Furthermore, a presentation was delivered from Pustekroket on the development of various types of rockets such as turbo jets, anti-missiles and ballistics as well as the needs for research on their development technology.
The ITS team is represented by 3 main groups, namely the Control and Control Group from Prof. Subchan and Dr. Tahiyatul Asfihany, Department of Mathematics, automation system Hendro Nurhadi, PhD and team. Also the Material coating and propellant group, Prof. Hamzah Fansuri, Alief Wikarta and Widyastuti and team. The Pustekroket team that was present was also from various development fields, namely Dr. Rika Andiarti as the coordinator of the RHAN-450 Defense Rocket and Two-Stage Rocket. Dr. Herma Yudhi Irwanto, Electronic Payload and Control System Field. A full team of 3 people from the Propellant and Igniter Field, namely Dr. Heru Supriyatno, Henny Setyaningsih, MT and. Wiwiek Utami Dewi, MT. The static testing, DT, NDT, and Flight Test fields were attended by Dwi Setyaningsih, MT. Those present as representatives of the Structure Design field were Mujtahid, MT and other fields present were the Rocket Design and Simulation field Idris Eko Putro, M.Sc.AE.
The discussion was serious in both directions and ended with the agreement on the articles of the research cooperation that will be carried out and then formalized by signing the cooperation. With this Cooperation Agreement, it is hoped that it will become an umbrella for various ITS Cooperation with Pustekroket in the future which will bring wider benefits.
