One of the efforts to accelerate the downstreaming of defense and security research products produced by researchers at ITS is to collaborate and build cooperation with various defense industries in Indonesia. One of the forums that accommodates the defense industry is Forkominhan, namely the Defense Industry Communication Forum (https://forkominhan.id).
On August 19-23, 2024, ITS through representatives of the IoTTP research center attended a training held by Forkominhan, namely the 2nd batch of Professional Project Management (PMP) training. One of the objectives of this training is to bridge the needs of users and producers of main defense system equipment (alutsista). Participants who attended were defense product providers such as PT. Dahana, PT. Prizma Aero Sentosa, PT Biru Sistem Perkasa, etc., as well as users such as the Defense Facilities Agency (Baranahan) of the Ministry of Defense (kemenhan) (https://www.kemhan.go.id/baranahan/), as well as universities and research institutions that have defense innovation products that will be downstreamed and applied.
The training began with direction from First Marshal TNI Dedy Laksmono, SE, MT on Regulation, background, characteristics and ecosystem of the defense industry in realizing independence in fulfilling defense and defense needs. Furthermore, a presentation, discussion and case study of project management in the defense industry was delivered by Instructor Sachlani PMP, PMS I, P3OF. The training instructor came from the Project Management Institute Indonesia which is affiliated with the Project Management Institute (https://www.pmi.org). The material presented ranged from concept, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation to project closure. Discussions and group assignments were carried out for the application of the learning materials that had been provided. Various opportunities for collaboration were also explored as a follow-up to training between various institutions participating in the training.
Dr. Widyastuti as a representative of the IoTTP DRPM ITS Research Center joined group 1 which discussed a case study of the Military Resource Personnel Information System development project, starting from procurement, cost planning, implementation, monitoring to project closure. One of the discourses that emerged was the leakage of personal data from the information system that was built, especially related to military personal data. ITS offers many experts related to data security and cybersecurity who are members of the ITS DRPM Internet of Things and Defense Technology (IoTTP) Research Center.
