First Place Award Presentation by the Committee and Head of the Information Technology Department at OlimpIT ARA 6.0 2025

Surabaya, IT Journalistic — The OlimpIT ARA 6.0 competition reached its final stage on January 22, 2025. Once again, the ARA 6.0 committee successfully nurtured new talents prepared to become high-achieving human resources. Held at ITS Tower 2 Building, this annual event initiated by Information Technology Department students awarded a golden ticket free pass for continuing education in the Information Technology Department. This year, the prize was won by Umar and Evandra Raditya Fauzan from SMK Negeri 7 Semarang, who emerged as first-place winners.

“Honestly, we feel extremely happy and never expected to become champions,” they expressed joyfully when asked about their feelings after winning the competition.

Their primary motivation for participating in the Olympics was the opportunity to obtain a free pass to the Information Technology Department at ITS, while simultaneously gaining experience and deepening their knowledge of continuously evolving technology. “Through this competition, we can learn more about Cyber Security and IoT,” they shared.

Long preparation and consistent training were key to Umar and Evandra’s success in this competition. Despite facing challenges such as difficult questions, they overcame obstacles with a well-crafted strategy. “We’ve been preparing for a long time by practicing frequently. Our strategy was to tackle difficult questions first and focus on solving easier ones,” they explained.

Beyond the winners, other finalists also demonstrated high enthusiasm for the competition. “We’re incredibly proud to compete at ITS. We’re exploring the campus while hoping to be admitted in the future,” said Vena Veronika and Nayla Putri Clarissa from SMA Negeri 7 Kediri.

They revealed that balancing study time with overwhelming school assignments was challenging, even sacrificing sleep to prepare themselves. “Our learning tip is to divide the material into two chapters to maintain better focus,” they added.

Participants placed significant hopes on ITS and the competition organized by the ARA 6.0 committee. As a closing statement, Vena and Nayla expressed, “We hope to further develop ourselves at ITS. ITS, IT, ARA GACORRRRR!!!”

A Renewal Agent (ARA) stands as tangible proof of the Information Technology Department’s commitment to supporting young generations in developing potential and honing technological skills. Through various creative programs and activities like OlimpIT ARA, CTF ARA 6.0, Roadshow, and ExploIT, the initiative serves not just as a competition platform but also as a space for building networks and sharing knowledge—a crucial first step in preparing to achieve technological dreams.
