PS Bachelor of Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA – ITS, has the responsibility to develop human resources who have knowledge and skills in the field of chemistry with a minimum qualification of level 6 of the KKNI. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Bachelor of Chemistry PS ITS has made a careful and rigorous selection process for the quality of human resources (secondary school graduates), implemented appropriate education strategies and processes through the development of quality staff, a future-oriented curriculum that continues to be evaluated and developed, as well as adequate management and infrastructure. Furthermore, the Bachelor of Chemistry Study Program revisited the vision, mission and achievements of learning, conducted curriculum evaluations, and produced the Chemistry Bachelor Degree curriculum for the 2018-2023 period that has been applied to date.
Based on community needs, national industry and government targets, input and feedback from various parties, and referring to the vision and mission of ITS, ITS Bachelor of Chemistry PS formulates the profile of graduates as follows: “Chemistry graduates must be able to work in any field related to chemistry, to be able to meet the needs of the community both nationally and internationally, including research (eg environmental issues, science and technology), industry (for example, quality control / assurance, production processes and management, research and development), or services (education and entrepreneurship), can also keep abreast of information technology, and improve graduates’ knowledge and skills through lifelong learning
