The Mathematics Department of FSAD-ITS successfully hosted the INDOMS East Java Regional Congress which was held solemnly. This congress had the main agenda of electing the INDOMS Governor for the 2024-2026 period which took place by consensus on December 14, 2024.

After a smooth and democratic deliberation process, the congress participants unanimously appointed Dr. Miswanto , M.Sc. as the Governor of INDOMS East Java Region for the 2024-2026 period. The election of Dr. Miswanto is expected to bring new enthusiasm to the development and collaboration of mathematics in East Java, as well as strengthen the role of INDOMS in supporting mathematics education and research.
Head of the Department of Mathematics and Chair of the INDOMS Congress Prof. Subchan, S.Si, M.Sc, Ph.D expressed his appreciation for the successful and smooth implementation of this congress. “We are proud to be able to host this important event. Hopefully, Dr. Miswanto’s leadership can bring innovation and progress to the mathematics community in East Java,” he said.
With the spirit of collaboration and togetherness, this event is an important momentum in strengthening relations between mathematics academics throughout East Java. Congratulations to Dr. Miswanto on his new mandate as Governor of INDOMS East Java Region for the 2024-2026 period. Hopefully it will bring positive changes and real contributions to the development of mathematics in Indonesia.
