Department of Technology Management in collaboration with the ITS Library successfully held a Literacy Class: E-Resources & Reference Manager Class as an effort to equip students with skills in accessing electronic information sources i.e. journal articles and e-books on portals subscribed by ITS (24/10). On this occasion, procedure for using Mendeley’s Reference Manager which can facilitate the process of writing scientific papers and organizing electronic information sources is also delivered.
This event is held through the Zoom Meeting from 13.00 to 15.00 (GMT+7). The total number of participants is 120, consisting of Lecturers who are lecturers of the Methodology Thesis Course and students who are currently taking these courses. Also attending were the two Secretaries of the Technology Management Department, namely Jerry Dwi Trijoyo Purnomo, Ph.D. and A. A. B. Dinariyana Dwi Putranta, Ph.D. The ITS Library team were Marsudiyana, S.Sos., Budi Hartanto, S.E., and Edy Suprayitno, S.S., M.Hum. who delivered material on Access to Electronic Information Sources in the form of journal articles, e-books, and a collection of final assignments in the ITS Repository. In this literacy class, a tutorial on VPN settings for remote access to electronic information sources subscribed to by ITS was also presented. Budi, who is an ITS Librarian, said about an easy way to use Mendeley to facilitate writing scientific papers.
This class is carried out by the ITS Library which also introduces services that can be accessed remotely, i.e. online book ordering, online book loan extension, Ask Librarian, VPN access from outside ITS Campus, Electronic Information Sources Delivery (E-journal and E-Book Articles), Work Delivery Services Scientific ITS Electronics and Online Library Free. With a variety of services and tailored to needs, it is hoped that it can make it easier for the community to enjoy the ITS Library services. (mdw/gwb)
