With the advancement of Industry 4.0 technology and increasingly intense competition, organizations are required to possess the ability for continuous innovation. Technology, as a body of knowledge, is an inseparable part of innovation. Currently, there are five areas of concentration developed within the curriculum, with the possibility of expanding into other areas of concentration in the future. Although technology or engineering is a dominant aspect in the development of the curriculum at PSMIST, the curriculum integrates elements from the fields of science, management, and social sciences. It emphasizes the importance of innovation in systems and technology to enhance organizational performance, manage innovation projects, commercialize the outcomes of system and technology innovation, and view system and technology innovation from economic, social, and environmental perspectives. This aligns with sustainable development goals based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The curriculum structure is designed modularly with concentrations in specific areas of expertise.
More specifically, the uniqueness of the proposed study program lies in its curriculum that:
Graduates of the Master’s Program in Integrated Systems and Technology (MIST) at ITS are expected to serve as technology innovators, professionals, consultants, technopreneurs, and bureaucrats with a focus on developing sustainable systems and technologies. They are equipped with in-depth knowledge of technology management, innovation, business strategy, and professional ethics to create innovative solutions that have a positive impact across various fields.
