MKPI ITS – On February 15 2024, the Mojokerto Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) held a visit to the Center for Mitigation and Innovative Policy Research (Puslit MKPI). This activity is a strategic step in preparing the Disaster Risk Assessment (KRB) which is very important in efforts to increase community resilience to the threat of disasters.
Preparing Disaster Risk Studies has a central role in providing an in-depth understanding of potential disaster risks that could occur in an area. With this understanding, BPBD can identify and manage risks more effectively. By knowing the potential risks faced, local governments can direct resources and budgets more accurately for disaster mitigation and response.
The preparation of the Disaster Risk Study by the Mojokerto Regency BPBD, with the support of the MKPI Research Center, shows commitment to building community resilience to disasters. It is hoped that this step will become an example for other regions in developing risk-based mitigation policies and strategies to protect the community from the threat of disasters that may occur.
