MKPI ITS – The Disaster Mitigation and Climate Change Research Center (MKPI) ITS has achieved first place for best implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) during the Heroes Day Ceremony held on November 10, 2024, at ITS Surabaya, Indonesia. This award was granted as a form of recognition for the center’s dedication and strong commitment to advancing the quality of research and innovation in disaster mitigation and climate adaptation.
This year, the MKPI Research Center proudly attained the Top Rank-1 SPMI Award for Research Centers, having previously been awarded third place. This award reflects appreciation for the center’s efforts and commitment to effectively implementing the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) focusing on advancing research quality and making a tangible contribution to disaster mitigation and climate adaptation efforts. The Disaster Mitigation and Climate Change Research Center has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance, innovative research, and a strong dedication to delivering impactful solutions for society and the environment.
With this achievement, MKPI ITS further strengthens its position as a leading research institution in the disaster mitigation field at ITS. Adjie Pamungkas, S.T., M.Dev.Plg., Ph.D., Head of the MKPI Research Center, expressed his gratitude for the award, stating that it is the result of the hard work of the entire team and collaboration with various partners in achieving high-quality standards.
This success highlights ITS’s commitment to supporting the national disaster risk reduction agenda and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to climate action.
