Graduates of the Department of Technology Management finally took part in an online graduation ceremony on Sunday, August 2, 2020. This graduation ceremony was planned to be held on March 15, 2020, but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Actually, the ceremony was held hybrid, i.e. combination of online and offline. The committee with Rector, Dean, and Head of Department were gathered in Research Center to do the ceremony offline, while prospective graduates were present on the online platform. Families, relatives, and other parties watched it via online streaming.
The procession was also attended by the Deputy Governor of East Java, Dr. Emil Elestianto Dardak, and ITS Alumni, Ir. Lies Hartono/Cak Lontong (comedian) and Brigita Manohara, S.T (news anchor). In addition, ITS also presented a surprising virtual graduation reenactment through Minecraft Education Edition from the Department of Informatics in collaboration with DPTSI ITS.
This graduation was attended by prospective graduates from three faculties, namely FDKBD, FTK, and FTSPK. Thus, MMT ITS as a part of FDKBD, got a chance to be part of this online ceremony. In this term, 78 of MMT ITS students was officially graduated. Thus, to date, our department has 2070 alumni around the world. The Head of the Department of Technology Management, Prof. I Nyoman Pujawan read the names of all MMT ITS graduates.
