Staff Workshop: “Passionate, Positive, and Happy at Work”

Not only improving the quality of lecturers and students, the Department of Technology Management is also active in the effort to develop the capabilities of the teaching staff (tendik). In addition to getting the opportunity to take capacity building training in accordance with his duties in the department, Tendik also received training to improve the quality of his work.

In 2018, the Department of Technology Management attended a training entitled “Passionate, Positive, and Happy at Work” with presenters Agni S. Mayangsari. Located in the Training Room of the ITS building in Tjokroaminoto, the training held for two days on September 27 and 29 2018 was very interesting. The participants also not only came from the Technology Management Department, but also from the Faculty of Business and Technology Management and the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Agni, who is a trainer, motivator, speaker seminar, and this training consultant managed to motivate students to give the best according to their duties. The author of the book entitled Hearty Service also emphasizes working and serving sincerely and wholeheartedly. This training is also interspersed with simple games that have a philosophy related to work situations. Neno, one of the general administrators of the Technology Management Department who was a training participant said that this soft skills training was very different from previous similar trainings and was able to broaden his perspective in serving customers and empathizing with others, especially in answering questions and handling complaints from customer. This training also fosters enthusiasm in achieving performance achievements beyond the previously set targets.
