Kediri, ITS News — In Tri Dharma of Higher Educationi, a student is required to perform community service activities. This is evidenced by students of ITS through the thematic Student Community Service (KKNT) with the theme of Literacy and Numeration Online. This activity was held in 14 elementary schools (elementary schools) located in Kediri, East Java, Sunday (18/10).

One member from 23 KKNT group, Gilang Ramadhan Wibisono explained that this KKNT has begun to be implemented since August 19 and finished at the end of September. The group of 23 KKNT has 12 students, each student work in one elementary school. “There is one student who serves in three elementary school at once, so there are a total of 14 elementary schools that we help,” added Gilang, his familiar greeting.

This Physics Department student revealed that he performed a service at SD Islam Terpadu Empat Mei. In elementary school, Gilang innovated by releasing an educational video of natural science lessons to make it easier for students to understand the lesson. Not only that, but Gilang also practiced the use of simple applications for teachers for the manufacture of electrical circuits. “This app will make it easier for teachers who can’t buy electronic materials,” he said.

In addition to innovating in the field of learning, this group of 23 KKNT also contributes in school administration. As did Cloudias Imani Pradana at SDN Dungus 1 and Faza Humam Muzhofar at SDN Pare 4. Both assist teachers in each school in listing assignment grades, class inventory, and student presence.

Another school is located at SDN Tulungrejo 2. Abshari Azka Saffanah said that during her time at the school, she has introduced several online learning methods that make it easier for teachers there, such as Google Classroom, Quizizz, and Google Form. In addition, Abshari, his familiar greeting, also teaches teachers in making interesting learning media using Kinemaster.

In contrast to Abshari, Angger Dzaky Hanif who served at SDN Pranggang 3 did a buzz by forming several study groups. The learning process is then carried out at home by each representative of the group. “This way is expected to motivate students because so far it has only been assigned by the school,” said Angger, his familiar greeting.

In the first school, SDN Bangsal 4, students of its Statistics Department initiated a numeration approach program named Kenalan Sama Statistika (KSS). “This program teaches students to conduct the interview process until presenting data in the form of diagrams,” she said.

Tiara, her familiar greeting, also performed a service at SDN Sukorame 3 by assisting teachers in the visualization of learning materials. The visualizations are photos, videos, and documents. And in the third school, SDN Sukorame 1, Tiara held learning activities in each student’s house alternately. “This program is most interesting to me because students are very enthusiastic about learning,” she added.

At the end of the interview session, Gilang who represented his friends in the group of 23 KKNT expressed gratitude and thanks for the positive impression struck at this devotional activity, especially the support from the teachers in succeeding KKNT this time. “Hopefully what we have given can be developed and utilized well by each school,” he concluded.
