ITS Campus, ITS News – As a university engaged in science and technology, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continues to spread its cooperation. This time, ITS collaborates with PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa (Gojek), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Chairman’s Meeting Room, ITS Rectorate, Wednesday (10/3).

Vice-Rector IV of Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Graduates ITS Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng Ph.D. said, this cooperation is set against the background of ITS and Gojek have the same movement in technological innovation. Moreover, with the development of digital business, this cooperation is a strategic step for ITS.

Bambang mentioned that several potential cooperations could be implemented. One of them is by developing ITS Press service, which is a printing service owned by ITS that has the potential to be integrated with Gojek’s delivery service. “Thus, this integration can have a positive impact in the form of payment and delivery processes that can be done more quickly and easily,” explained Bambang.

Besides, Bambang continued, ITS also has a Halal Study Center that aims to develop small and medium-sized micro enterprises (MSMEs) owned by the community. It also has great potential to be developed with Gojek’s Go-Food service. “So that it can help MSMEs in the distribution process which of course will improve the economy of the community,” said the lecturer of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

This cooperation will also help realize the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of them is by carrying out an internship program, where students can gain work experience in Gojek for 3-6 months which can then be converted to meet the course credits.

Regional Head Public Policy and Government Relations East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Gojek Boy Arno Muhamad clearly, if with this cooperation the positive impact will be wronged, especially in doing Tri Dharma Higher Education. In the field of education, for example, Gojek is happy to provide guest lectures for students. ‘Call it marketing and data science,’ Boy said.

Finally, Boy hopes that the discussions will not stop only in this MoU. But the actualization and execution of the aforementioned programs can be carried out soon. “Hopefully, the discussions conducted at the signing of this memorandum of understanding can be realized into PKS (Cooperation Agreement, red),” he concluded.
