Oath pronunciation by the Dean and Vice Dean of the ITS Interdisciplinary School of Management and Technology

ITS Campus, ITS News – After the soft launching of the Interdisciplinary School of Management and Technology (SIMT), some time ago, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) inaugurated the first Dean and Deputy Dean for SIMT at Plaza dr Angka ITS, Wednesday (7/4 ). It is the first non-faculty dean leadership that ITS has.

The inauguration of the SIMT leadership further solidifies ITS steps to produce competitive graduates who can meet the needs of the world of work. The inauguration of the new office was carried out directly by ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng and attended by several other ITS leaders.

The new officials inaugurated were Prof. Ir Nyoman Pujawan MEng Ph.D. CSCP as Dean of SIMT. The lecturer who previously served as Head of the Department of Master of Technology Management (MMT) in carrying out his duties this time was accompanied by R Haryo Dwito Armono ST MEng Ph.D. as Deputy Dean of SIMT. Haryo was previously a supervisor at the ITS Ocean Engineering Master Program.

In his remarks, the Rector called Ashari congratulated and thanked Nyoman and Haryo for being willing to accept the challenge of serving as SIMT leaders to transform ITS to become  the best technology campus in Indonesia.

Ashari also said that this procession indicated that ITS had legally owned seven faculties and one school. This school will have three types of programs, namely the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Education Program, Professional Engineer Program, and Professional Certification Program. “Furthermore, SIMT will target S1 graduates who are currently working in corporations or companies,” he said.

The ITS Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Education Program consists of the Technology Management Study Program which initially had two levels, namely Master of Technology Management (MMT) and Doctor of Technology Management (DMT), now it has three levels. “Now we are adding one more level, namely Innovation Technology,” added Ashari.

This professor of Electrical Engineering advised the two new SIMT officials who were just appointed to work with their hearts in building ITS. Haryo and Nyoman were also given the task by the Chancellor to lead SIMT to get A Accreditation. “For that, it is necessary to be able to facilitate lecturers who already have good publications,” said the man from Sidoarjo.

The previous MMT program was successfully held by ITS which at that time was still under the Creative Design and Digital Business Faculty (FDKBD). At the end of the procession, Ashari hopes that ITS will always exist and be at the forefront in the next 15 or even 100 years. “Therefore, we must set a strategy and vision to make this happen,” he said optimistically. (pan/ITS Public Relations)
