ITS Campus, ITS News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) vaccination program has full support from the East Java Provincial Government (East Java Provincial Government). Deputy Governor of East Java (Vice Governor of East Java) Dr. H Emil Elestianto Dardak BBus MSc directly reviewed the implementation of the ITS vaccination at Graha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, Sunday (1/8).
The second day of the ITS vaccination program, which has been taking place since Saturday (31/7), is intended for all ITS academics and alumni and the community around ITS. “We appreciate this effort to accelerate the reach of vaccination, especially in East Java,” said the man who is better known as Emil Dardak.
Emil, accompanied by the Head of the East Java Provincial Education Office, Dr. Ir Wahid Wahyudi MT, also directly observed the ongoing vaccination process from the filing stage to vaccination. “Vaccination activities (at ITS) have been going well and smoothly,” said the former Trenggalek Regent.
Appreciation was also given for the collaboration between the ITS Alumni Association (IKA), Airlangga University Hospital (RSUA), and Husada Utama Hospital (RSHU). “This synergy is a form of efforts to protect and increase academic productivity during a pandemic,” said Emil.
On this occasion, Emil also symbolically handed over special assistance to ITS. The help handed over directly to ITS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng was in the form of medical equipment such as electric sprayers, disinfectants, cloth masks, hazmat clothes, rubber gloves, hand sanitizers, face shields, glasses, vitamin C, rubber boots, thermometer gun, bucket, and hand washstand.
Finally, the ITS Chancellor, who is often called Ashari, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the East Java Provincial Government and all parties involved in this vaccination program. “Hopefully, herd immunity can be achieved soon so that academic activities can be carried out earlier and safely,” he concluded hopefully.
