ITS Campus News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) is tireless to continue to innovate for the nation. This time, ITS innovated by launching a multipurpose electric car called Multipurpose Electric Vehicle ITS (MEvITS) in a grand launch at the ITS Mechanical Engineering Department Sunday (27/11).
The Head of the MEvITS Development Team, Prof Dr. Eng, Must Be Like Guntur, ST MEng, revealed that MEvITS is fully designed and developed by ITS. In collaboration with several ITS startups, MEvITS has become an electric car with a pickup concept that is tough, energy efficient, elegant, and stylish.

Furthermore, Must explain that MEvITS was created to be a vehicle that is not only used as a passenger car but also to transport goods. This car has also been designed to travel up to 200 kilometers and has a maximum speed of up to 100 kilometers per hour.
It is hoped that the wider community can also reach MEvITS. “So that the price is affordable, we are trying to innovate cars with power that is not too big,” he added.

This car with a power of 20 kWh will continue to be refined. “With the spirit of real innovation, we hope this car can be a useful breakthrough for society,” he concluded optimistically.
The car launch by ITS academics was held in conjunction with the annual ITS Mechanical Engineering alum meeting entitled Pulang Bengkel. Mechanical Engineering alums also witnessed the launch from various generations. (ITS Public Relation)
