ITS Campus, ITS News — The series of events of the 37th National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has reached its peak, Friday (18/10) night. On the summit night, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) managed to rank third, up one rank from the previous year, in the competition which this time was hosted by Airlangga University (Unair).
Delegating 44 teams to compete in the final, the ITS team managed to win 19 championship titles in this national competition. The medals consisted of 17 team medals and two individual award categories. Where the team medals were obtained through the poster and presentation categories from the nine Student Creativity Program (PKM) schemes that were competed.
In the poster category, the ITS team won three gold medals, five silver medals, and one bronze medal. The gold medals were contributed by the PKM Creative Idea Video (PKM-VGK) and PKM Exacta Research (PKM-RE) teams. Meanwhile, the silver medals were won by the PKM Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), PKM Community Service (PKM-PM), PKM Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI), PKM Social Humanities Research (PKM-RSH), and PKM-RE teams. Furthermore, the bronze medal was won by the PKM Karsa Cipta (PKM-KC) team.
Meanwhile, in the presentation category, the ITS team managed to secure three gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals. The gold medals were won by the PKM Karya Inovatif (PKM-KI), PKM-RSH, and PKM-RE teams. Meanwhile, the silver medals were won by the PKM-KC and PKM-RE teams. The bronze medals were won by the PKM-RSH and PKM-RE teams.
No less proud, representatives from ITS also won achievements in the Non-PKM Digital Poster and Best Talented Student categories. The Talented Student category was won by Frederick Hidayat from the PKM-K team and Henky Aden Saputra from the PKM-RE team. Meanwhile, the Non-PKM Digital Poster category was won by the PKM-PI team.
Responding to this proud achievement, the Head of the ITS PKM Task Force 2024 Dr. Hertiari Idajati ST MSc expressed his greatest appreciation to all ITS contingents who had participated in this year’s Pimnas. “ITS’s success in achieving third place in this year’s Pimnas cannot be separated from the hard work and fighting spirit of the entire contingent,” he said proudly.
Ida continued, ITS also needs to make more thorough preparations, especially in allocating funds to improve the quality of coaching in facing the next Pimnas. From this evaluation, the lecturer from the Department of Regional and City Planning (PWK) hopes that in the future ITS can reclaim the overall champion position at the 38th Pimnas next year.
