ITS rector Prof. Mochamad Ashari signed the MoU with UNHAN virtually

ITS Campus, ITS News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) re-expands its cooperation with other colleges. This time, ITS rector Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng together with the rector of the Defense University Indonesia (Unhan) Rear Admiral Dr. Amarulla Octavian ST MSc DESD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the cooperation plan of establishing the new faculty, Faculty of Defense Specialization Engineering, Wednesday (6/5).

Through the Zoom Meeting platform, ITS and UNHAN discussing collaboration in education, research, and community service, especially with the opening of several new faculties in UNHAN, among others are the faculty of military science and faculty of military engineering. “The plan of activities discussed includes the preparation of curriculum, preparation of labs, and others”, explains the rector who is familiarly called Ashari.

As a college that is believed to be a center for equality education in Eastern Indonesian, ITS has support for the need for cooperation in education, research, and community service in UNHAN. Ashari added, “Moreover, the department will be initiated in relation to the science of technology, in future, ITS also will delegate some lecturers to give the guest lecture.”

In addition, at this meeting is also carried out the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Military Engineering UNHAN with the Faculty of Electrical Technology and intelligent Informatics, the faculty of the MIPA Unhan with the faculty of Sain and Analytics ITS Data, the Faculty of Defense Technology Unhan with the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology, Faculty of Science and Data Analytics , Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Geo Engineering , Faculty of Industrial Technology And Systems Engineering.

The signing of the MoU is virtually the first time for ITS, due to social distancing policy for the prevention of spreading of Covid-19. “The signing of this online MoU is the first time for ITS. Nevertheless, everything can go smoothly, “said Ashari. (mia/rev/ITS Public Relations)
