Bambang Pramujati welcomes the cooperation that will be established with the government and industry. Starting from the Covid-19 pandemic, Bambang said, this collaboration began with the project of making a Simple and Low-Cost Mechanical Ventilator which was initiated by ITS lecturer Dr rer nat Aulia MT Nasution last April.
“Along with the various challenges that must be faced during the pandemic, we (ITS, ed) continue to develop various innovative products, especially in the field of health technology,” explained Bambang. However, he added, as a university, ITS cannot run alone. For this reason, ITS collaborated with BPFK Surabaya so that the products produced are by standards and can be mass-produced directly by partners from the industry, CV Sinar Baja Electric.

With this MoU, the ITS Mechanical Engineering alumnus hopes that the door of cooperation for various other health technology innovation products will be wide open. “Because our innovative products cannot reach the wider community without cooperation with the industry,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPFK Surabaya Khairul Bahri ST said that his party needed various innovations from the cold hands of academics to be able to develop health technology. “Hopefully there will be more domestic innovation products to be able to handle problems at the regional, even national level that can be generated from this cooperation,” he said.

He said that his party is ready to mass-produce various innovative products that will be born from ITS in the future. “Hopefully with the various innovative health products from ITS, more people will be helped,” said Elly. (yus/ITS Public Relations)
