ITS Campus, ITS News – Indonesia’s primary focus on the formal education sector makes character education and skills for the younger generation still go unnoticed. This was the background for one of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in initiating the Global Millennial Group platform. This platform allows for increased soft skills, including the ability to communicate in line with their capabilities informal education.

This pilot business that was successfully run by Hanif Srisubaga Alim, a student of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department, pays special attention to formal education information. This initial idea was developed to improve the quality of young people who are insightful, caring, and willing to make changes. “Not only academically smart, but youths must also master diplomacy, negotiations, and involve themselves in legislation,” he said.

Hanif continued, for almost six months of its existence, this innovation has successfully held several agendas. The programs implemented include the Model United Nations (MUN) school, speech, business, and writing scientific papers. Various practical activities such as conferences, lessons, and other related matters were also held.

Hanif explained that this business is looking at market segments requiring training at competitive prices but with high quality. This is evidenced by the correct proportion concerning the allocation of time in each practice held. Hanif also added that at an affordable price, his platform of ideas guarantees customer rights are well fulfilled. “One of them is customer service, who is ready to help 24 hours a day,” he said.

Turning back to when this platform was founded, Hanif shared his struggle to carry out the first plan, namely Global Millennial MUN. He admitted that this plan was a challenge because it had to gather enthusiasts with a set target. “Until now, we managed to hold a MUN Conference with 10,000 participants,” he said emotionally.

This 2019 class student continued; the increased interest was also due to the ease of payment offered. The ease of payment makes the business more attractive. Following the original concept, Hanif wanted to differentiate his artificial innovations from other companies with similar goals.

Talking again about the beginning of its establishment, the Global Millennial Group, followed by more than 5,000 people on social media, started from the same interest among team members. The team then thought about the basic concepts to the more complex ones. He explained again, and another important step is the division of divisions so that products can be run.

Over time, this bespectacled young man expressed his desire to get more exposure to this work. Through this hope, the Global Millennial Group has successfully won prestigious awards in international events. Not long ago, this innovation won a silver medal at the 2021 ASEAN Innovation Science and Entrepreneur Fair (AISEEF) event.
