ITS Campus, ITS News – Dana Abadi (Endowment Fund) has an important role in the progress of universities in the long term. To further develop it, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) agreed on a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Atapkita Karya Indonesia (atapkita.com) in developing ITS Endowment Fund, Tuesday (16/3) afternoon, online.

Chairman of atapkita.com Ahmad Adisuryo ST MSc explained, atapkita.com is a crowdfunding platform that aims to raise funds and donate online. So it will make it easier for someone who wants to donate anytime and anywhere.

According to him, the existence of endowment fund fundraising through the platform can be a joint movement with ITS to print superior Human Resources (HR) and lead ITS to become a world-class institution. “ITS continues to make progress. I believe under the leadership of Rector Ashari (ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng, red) can further usher ITS into a leading campus in the world order,” said the man who is familiarly called Opid.

On the same occasion, Mahakaam Group International, also houses atapkita.com donated ITS of Rp 100 Million as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Opid, who is an alumnus of ITS Electrical Engineering, hopes that such a large fund can be utilized by ITS and form a superior generation.

Meanwhile, ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng said ITS Endowment Fund has accumulated more than Rp 6 billion. As well as targeted in 2025, ITS Endowment Fund will be collected as much as Rp 50 billion and by 2030 is expected to increase 400-fold to Rp 20 trillion.

The Fund will be very useful for students, both for research, scholarships, and others. Moreover, during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are students whose parents died due to Covid-19 or were affected by Termination of Employment Relationship (PHK). “So that the assistance is expecting for them,” said the rector who used to be called Ashari.

The Professor of Electrical Engineering also thanked and expressed his appreciation to atapkita.com as one of the platforms that can be used to replenish ITS Endowment Fund. To Mahakaam Group International, Ashari also said that it will not be reduced if the results can benefit others. “Insyaallah, it is recorded as an act of worship that is never cut off,” he said.

On the same occasion, Vice-Governor of East Java Dr. Emil Elestianto Dardak BBus MSc. said that Endowment funding is important for universities. Various well-known campuses abroad rely on perpetual funds to finance campus management. “So with a platform like this atapkita.com will expand the space for alumni to build their alma mater,” said Emil who took the time to attend online.

According to the former Regent of Trenggalek, East Java Province has felt various efforts in building its surrounding communities.
