ITS Campus, ITS News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has officially announced the results of the 2021 new student admissions selection for the Partnership, Independent and Achievement Selection (SKMP), Saturday (26/6), starting at 15.00. From the announcement, it was noted that ITS accepted 3,061 new students from this SKMP path.

Dr. Eng Siti Machmudah ST MEng, Director of ITS Education, explained in detail the number of students who passed in each pathway. Namely, from the Partnership path as many as 399 students, the Independent path as many as 2,555 students, and the Achievement path as many as 107 students.

From the total admissions of new students through the SKMP pathway, there are three majors with the most interest: the Department of Engineering and Industrial Systems with 1,652 applicants, the Department of Informatics Engineering with 1,625, and the Information Systems Department with 1,397 applicants.

With the addition of entry points through achievements at the 2021 SKMP, ITS hopes that superior students who have been selected by presenting achievements during registration can continue to improve their achievements on the ITS campus later to further make ITS name in the national and international arena.

The lecturer, who is familiarly called Machmudah, said that in this SKMP pathway, new student admissions are based on the 2021 Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) scores and or ITS Academic Ability Test (TKA) scores, report cards, self-descriptions, and other achievements—owned by the registrant. “Devoted to those interested in the design study program, we are required to upload a portfolio,” she said.

She was also explained after prospective students were declared accepted at ITS from the SKMP pathway, they would later be required to fill in data online by filling in biodata and uploading documents that had been needed by ITS. This requirement is the same for prospective new students from the National Selection for State Higher Education Entrance (SNMPTN) and the Joint Selection for State Higher Education Entrance (SBMPTN).

Furthermore, said Machmudah, data entry activities as a form of re-registration for the SKMP pathway would begin from June 28 to July 1, 2021. A re-registration procedure consisted of online registration, verification of parents’ economic data, payment of Single Tuition Fee (UKT), examination of color blindness test for study programs in need, verification of high school diploma (SMA) or equivalent to printing proof of re-registration.
