ITS Campus, ITS News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) vaccination program continues to receive full support from the East Java Provincial Government (East Java Provincial Government). This time, the Governor of East Java Dra Hj Khofifah Indar Parawansa MSi visited and directly reviewed the implementation of the ITS Vaccination on the last day, which was held at Graha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, Tuesday (3/8).
As previously reported, in the context of the 61st Anniversary, ITS, together with the ITS Alumni Association (IKA), held a first dose vaccination program for students, employees (lecturers and education staff) and their families, and ITS alumni and their families. The event, which also collaborated with Universitas Airlangga Hospital (RSUA) and Husada Utama Hospital (RSHU), lasted for four days since last Saturday (31/7). From the second day to the previous day, vaccinations are shown to the community around the ITS environment.
During the review, Khofifah was also accompanied by the East Java Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), which consisted of the Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) V/Brawijaya Major General TNI Suharyanto, East Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jatim) Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta, Head of the High Court ( Kajati) East Java Deputy Main Prosecutor Dr. Mohamad Dofir SH MH, as well as Daily Executive (Plh) Regional Secretary of East Java Province Dr. Ir Heru Tjahjono MM. They directly review the vaccination process from the filing stage to the vaccine injection.
In her speech, Khofifah expressed her appreciation to ITS, which continues to build synergies and collaborations to support government programs through Covid-19 Vaccination. “Hopefully, with this collaboration, the government and ITS can provide protection and safety to all Indonesian people,” he said.
On this occasion, the former Minister of Social Affairs also took the time to communicate with several vaccine participants who were sitting waiting in line to be vaccinated. Even Khofifah had time to check the data entry process for vaccine participants carried out by a number of officers from ITS at the location of the activity.
ITS Vice-Chancellor IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Alumni Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng Ph.D., who directly welcomed the visit, also expressed his gratitude to the East Java Provincial Government and all parties involved in this vaccination program. “This vaccination can be carried out with the support of the East Java Provincial Government, which has provided 6,000 doses of vaccine to be distributed to the academic community and their families, alumni and their families, and the community around the ITS environment,” he explained.
Bambang said if the 6,000 doses of the vaccine were allocated, 2,000 doses for employees and their families, 1,150 doses for students, 1,350 doses for alumni and their families, and 1,500 doses for the community around the ITS environment. “Because on the first, second, and third day the vaccine target has not been met by 1,500 doses per day, so on the fourth day it is expected that the number of vaccination participants will reach 2,500 participants,” he added.
Finally, this Mechanical Engineering Department lecturer said that ITS would continue to actively participate in government programs to accelerate herd immunity through the Covid-19 vaccination program. “ITS is ready to collaborate with various parties to hold Covid-19 vaccinations again,” he said.
