ITS Campus, ITS News – Now, it is easier for small business actors to get a Business Identification Number (NIB) as a business license through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. A total of 14 businesses owned by students of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) have also officially received NIBs in the NIB Issuance and Distribution of Individual Micro and Small Business Actors (UMK) at Graha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, Wednesday (22/12).
The OSS system is a System intended for business actors to obtain business licenses where this system integrates electronically. Since its launch by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, on August 9, the risk-based OSS has issued more than 570 thousand NIBs, and 98 percent of them were issued to MSEs.
In his remarks, the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia stated that his party is always ready to make it easier for the community to take care of business permits. “Development of a visionary program like this needs to be done for the progress of the nation in the future,” said Bahlil.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Teten Masduki, also present at this event revealed that many MSEs had difficulty accessing banking assistance and expanding business cooperation because their businesses were not yet legally incorporated. “With the NIB, it is easier for MSEs to collaborate with large companies and get easy funding from both the government and banks,” he explained.
On the same occasion, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that the issuance and distribution of the NIB was an opportunity for MSEs to develop their business easily. Erick advised that other UMK actors could participate in maximizing this government program. “Make sure to always fight for a better future and don’t be afraid, because Indonesia’s economic growth continues to increase,” he said
Meanwhile, the Vice-Governor of East Java (East Java), Emil Elestianto Dardak, who was present at this event, expressed his gratitude to all parties who have made this program a success. With the ease of all licensing matters, it will also be easier for the provincial government (provincial government) to synchronize regional programs. “This event is also a source of enthusiasm for all MSEs who have felt the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Emil.
This event was used as much as possible by ITS students to expand their business. A total of 14 ITS students were also present to register their business permits through this event. ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng who was also present said that the OSS system was very helpful for students in obtaining business permits.
The Rector, who is familiarly called Ashari, hopes that in the future more ITS students will be able to register their businesses through this visionary system. “Students who have received this NIB hope to encourage other friends to maximize this opportunity,” he added.
Reza Ayu Amelia as one of the ITS students who is a UMK and has received a NIB said she was very happy because she had an official business license from the government on this occasion. “Hopefully, this business can develop further and be able to produce new products other than meatball aci,” said a student from the Department of Agriculture ITS Business Management who has had a real meatball business since 2020.
