In addition, according to Warma, ITS and IGES also help waste banks for developing countries, with Indonesia as an example. The reason is that the Indonesian people have a good contribution to waste management. “Therefore, we make e-learning modules as learning materials for other countries,” he explained.

This ITS Environmental Engineering Department lecturer revealed that the future cooperation plans are still related to waste management. The collaborations that will be carried out include increasing relations with countries that have good waste banks, improving e-learning modules, and helping with an efficient waste management system to waste banks in Indonesia.

It is hoped that this collaboration will be able to develop the management of waste banks in Indonesia, as well as to build public awareness of waste management. So that Indonesia can be used as a source of knowledge for other developing countries. “Hopefully it can also reduce waste in Indonesia,” he said hopefully. (ITS Public Relation)
