Fiqey Indriati Eka Sari from the Informatics Engineering Department was the student who got selected to represent ITS at the upcoming 2022 National Mawapres event.
Having abundant achievements during college, Fiqey managed to win the title of Mawapres ITS 2022. In addition to being active in scientific writing competitions, Fiqey is also involved in many robot competitions with his team, the ITS Humanoid Robot Ichiro team, also known as Soccer Robot.
In the field of Scientific Writing (KTI), Fiqey involved in various scientific writing competitions since the first semester of college. One of them is by participating in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) which is held by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). During the three years of college, her research proposals have succeeded in obtaining funding five times.

Regarding the selection process for ITS Mawapres, the eldest of four siblings explained that he had to go through the Outstanding Achievement (CU) selection or achievements in various fields. Starting from competition, recognition, organizational career, work, humanitarian action, and entrepreneurship. In addition, the psychological test is continued orally and in writing. “Finally, we were asked to present scientific papers in English and Indonesian,” she said.
Being the first winner of Mawapres ITS 2022 in the Undergraduate category, of course, this woman with glasses has the right to represent ITS at the National Level Mawapres event. Currently, she is starting to prepare herself for this by honing public speaking as a form of preparation for the presentation of creative ideas. “I also have to improve my English skills,” she said.
When being asked about her motivation to become Mawapres ITS, Fiqey said that it all started with the intention to do the best for herself and the environment. She hopes the process she goes through can be a lesson for others. “It’s not just an achievement, but it can motivate others, both students at ITS and throughout Indonesia,” she said.
Eventually, Fiqey hopes to always contribute and make ITS proud, as well as help the people around her. She also believes that ITS students have their own amazing potential. “Because we can’t be perfect, but it’s possible to do our best,” she said firmly. (ITS Public Relations)
