Various innovations from the ITS academic community are in collaboration with industry. This time, to support the development of the maritime sector, ITS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT PELNI, Monday (13/6).

ITS itself was appointed to carry out feasibility studies, modification designs, detailed engineering designs of the ship. “We hope this cooperation can run smoothly and continue with other collaborations,” said Tri Andayani.
In response to this, the ITS Chancellor, who is often called Ashari, enthusiastically welcomed the collaboration. According to him, the existence of ITS Science Techno Park (STP) in the maritime sector supports this collaboration considering various innovations that have been created by ITS. “We really appreciate this collaboration so that ITS innovations can be downstreamed and implemented directly to provide benefits for Indonesia,” he said.
Various ITS innovations will be applied to the PT PELNI ship modification project include autonomous life rafts, remotely life buoys, auto reporting cranes, mobile conveyors, and so on. “These are products from STP Maritim to add value to the safety, comfort, and service life of the PT PELNI ship that will be modified,” concluded Ashari.
