ITS Campus, ITS News – The Bureau of Organization and Management of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) provided support to the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) on Tuesday (26/7) so that they could get ready for the assessment to achieve the Integrity Zone predicate.
The Integrity Zone itself is a designation given to government agencies that are committed to realizing a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean-Serving Free Area (WBBM). According to Prof. Hamzah Fansuri, SSi, MSi, PhD, the dean of FSAD ITS, his faculty represented ITS in the application for the Integrity Zone predicate together with 14 other entities, six of which are universities.
Prepared since 2020, the realization of this zone aims to create the best and honest service in the ITS area. For this reason, the application of the importance of anti-corruption is carried out to increase the insight of the ITS community regarding the Integrity Zone. “The planting of commitment is carried out through socialization and print media in the ITS FSAD environment,” said this professor of the ITS Chemistry Department.
In addition, Kemendikbudristek also prepared ITS to obtain the Integrity Zone predicate. Among them is through checking on administrative accuracy and its implementation in internal activities. “This is done to see things that can be improved before the final assessment by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia (KemenPAN-RB),” he explained.
However, Hamzah continued, challenges were also encountered in implementing the Integrity Zone at the ITS FSAD. Among other things, such as the Covid-19 outbreak which hampered the process and changes in work culture for service providers. “Lecturers and education staff must instill the new work pattern in carrying out their mandate,” he added.
Hamzah expects that implementing this Integrity Zone will help the area around it and further increase the resources in the ITS ecosystem. Hopefully, he added, “Through this Integrity Zone submittal, ITS services may be optimized and students will obtain convenience in their studies. (ITS PR)
