ITS Campus, ITS News – The Department of Industrial Product Design (Despro), Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business (FDKBD) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), again provides a valuable opportunity for SMA/SMK/MA equivalent students to gain admission without taking an entrance exam. This opportunity is available through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the 2023 Partnership, Independent and Achievement Selection (SKMP).

The Head of the ITS Despro Department Bambang Tristiyono ST MSi said this is the second time the ITS Despro Department has opened the Golden Ticket route. Last year, the Golden Ticket route was considered successful in increasing the interest of prospective students to study at Despro ITS. “The aim is to give appreciation to SMA/SMK/MA equivalent students who have extraordinary achievements,” he said.

Bambang said that the qualifications for the Golden Ticket route remained the same last year and this year. Participants must have a National Student Identification Number (NISN), including a copy of semester 1 to 5 report cards, proof of academic and non-academic achievements, and proof of extraordinary achievement.

The following requirement is that participants make a handwritten description containing their self-description and reasons for entering the ITS Despro Department. In addition, participants also have a statement of authenticity of achievements and other documents that recognize the school principal and are not color blind during the re-registration process and health checks. Participants must also choose Despro ITS as the first choice in the SNBP and SKMP registration paths.

In this case, Bambang revealed no specific limits regarding the amount of turnover generated or the type of content for participants who register with influencer and entrepreneur achievements. This is done so that participants with extraordinary achievements have the same opportunity to take part in the Golden Ticket selection process. “This pathway selection is open to students specializing in science and technology (scientific) as well as social and humanities (soshum),” he said.

Bambang hopes that through this year’s Golden Ticket route, the ITS Despro Department will become the favorite choice for SMA/SMK/MA equivalent students to continue their education in the field of design. He also hopes that with this Golden Ticket route, students interested in Despro ITS will increase and become known to the broader community. (ITS PR)
