Kampus ITS, ITS News – The 128th Graduation Ceremony of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) returned with great fanfare with the participation of 4,010 graduates who were officially declared graduates by the ITS Chancellor, Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng, Saturday (16/9). In this happy moment, the graduation procession will be held for four days, on 16-17 September 2023 and 23-24 September 2023.
The ITS Chancellor, who is often called Ashari, welcomed the graduates who had graduated from various levels of Applied Bachelor (D4), Bachelor (S-1), Masters (S-2), and Doctoral (S-3) educational programs. “With burning enthusiasm, I announce that 1,758 graduates have succeeded in achieving cum laude honors, confirming the brilliant achievements of this Heroes Campus,” he explained.
On the first day of the graduation procession, Saturday (16/9), there were 949 graduates from the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD) and the Faculty of Marine Technology (FTK) who took part in the graduation procession. Continued on the second day, Sunday (17/9), which will be attended by 796 graduates from the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering (FTIRS) and the Interdisciplinary School of Management and Technology (SIMT).
Meanwhile, on the third day, Saturday (23/9), 1,124 graduates from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning (FTSPK) and the Vocational Faculty (FV) participated. On the last day, Sunday (24/9), the 128th Graduation procession will be attended by 941 graduates from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Informatics (FTEIC) and the Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business (FDKBD).
This 128th graduation ceremony was not only marked by the presence of the graduates, but was a special moment with the presence of their parents. Special surprises also came from the best graduates who had made brilliant achievements. Dyah Putri Nariswari from the Department of Informatics Engineering with a perfect GPA of 4.00, making her the best undergraduate graduate. Apart from that, Maria Ulfa Yanuar, D4 student at the Department of Business Statistics, successfully achieved a GPA of 3.86.
In the Master’s program there were seven graduates who achieved the maximum GPA. The graduates are Edo Danilyan from the Biology Department, Ahmad Burhani from the Physics Engineering Department, Rohmat Hidayatulloh and Sunarko from the Technology Management Department. Apart from that, Arizal Bawasir from Geomatics Engineering, Dhimas Wahyu Firmansyah from the Informatics Engineering Department, and Nur Afandi and Rama Yusuf Mahendra from the Electrical Engineering Department also won the same title.
It didn’t stop there, as many as 13 graduates were recorded as the best graduates from the S-3 program. They are Allif Rosyidy Hilmi from the Department of Physics (by Research), Iwan Iwut Tritoasmoro from the Department of Technology Management, FX Ferdinandus from the Department of Electrical Engineering, as well as Chaldir Chalaf Islamy and Dwi Sunaryono from the Department of Computer Science (by Research).
Next, from the PhD program in Chemistry, namely Badrut Tamam Ibnu Ali, Asranudin, Dina Kartika Maharani, and Rifaldi. Then, from the Chemical Engineering PhD program, namely Lintang Alivia Anggerta and Akbarningrum Fatmawati. And the last two, from the Doctoral Program in Statistics, are Moch Abdul Mukid and Idhia Sriliana. “For this reason, we wish congratulations and success to the graduates who reached the beautiful point at the 128th Graduation Ceremony,” said the ITS Electrical Engineering alumnus.
On this occasion, ITS also graduated nine foreign students who were members of the joint degree program. These students come from Cambodia, Timor Leste, Madagascar and Syria. This proves ITS’s achievement as the best university with a ranking of 621-630 in the 2024 QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) world ranking.
Lastly, encouraging the graduates, Ashari also gave a message to always maintain the moral character of the graduates. With good character and knowledge, this achievement fully contributes to the alma mater, nation and state to become more prosperous. “Good luck fighting, good luck contributing, develop your country, raise your nation,” he said enthusiastically.
