The moment of victory for the ITS Gemastik team when they won the overall championship of Gemastik XVI 2023

Kampus ITS, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again made brilliant achievements at the XVI National Student Performance for Information and Communication Technology (Gemastik) 2023, Friday (15/9). ITS successfully defended its overall champion title for the Samyakbya Padhesa Widya Cup for the third time in a row.

ITS Chancellor, Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng enthusiastically congratulated the ITS 2023 Gemastik team for achieving brilliant achievements. Ashari stated that this achievement was an extraordinary historical milestone.

“Alhamdulillah, congratulations to the Gemastik team, congratulations to ITS! Extraordinary, overall champion for the third time in a row. “Thank you Ditmawa team, student team, accompanying lecturers, department and faculty teams, and everyone who has supported,” he said.

The head of the ITS 2023 Kawal Gemastik team, Siska Arifiani SKom MKom, explained that ITS had succeeded in winning one gold medal, four silver medals and one hopeful medal at this annual event. After delegating 17 teams to the final round, ITS received the six medals from four different divisions, namely Smart City, Animation, Software Development, and Smart Devices, Embedded Systems and Internet or Things (IoT).

Siska said that in the Smart City division, ITS succeeded in dominating the main podium by taking three positions out of the top four. Three ITS Gemastik teams succeeded in securing this position, namely PowerBuffGirl!! in first position, Oriental Don in second position, and Parahyangan in the hopeful position. “This proves how good ITS is in the field of future city development,” he said.

From the Animation division and Software Development division, ITS again won silver medals through the CTRL+S team with an animation entitled Aksara Swara and the Fafife team with the development of innovation in the form of SIPHalal. Furthermore, there was also the Slumber Squad team which also contributed medals after winning second place in the Smart Devices, Embedded Systems and IoT division.

Furthermore, the ITS Informatics Engineering Department lecturer said that the key to the success of the brilliant achievements at this event was the form of collaboration between all ITS elements. Since the preliminary round, all ITS elements have been united in preparing the files and requirements required for Gemastik this year. “Being unified is the right word for the collaboration of ITS elements in this success,” he said.

Lastly, in accordance with the meaning of the Gemastik trophy, Siska hopes that ITS can disseminate correct information for knowledge. Not only that, this woman also did not forget to express her deepest appreciation for the enthusiasm and struggle carried out by all ITS elements who contributed to this year’s Gemastik.
