ITS Campus, ITS News – Becoming the first Statistics Corner (Postat) in East Java, Postat Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) together with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java Province once again showed their brilliant achievements at the Statistics Corner Management Awards event. The award as Best Statistics Corner Organizer from 108 Postat organizers in Indonesia was handed over by Central BPS in Jakarta, on Monday (4/12).

Head of ITS Post Office – BPS East Java Province Dr Dra Ismaini Zain MSi said that this award was achieved using several assessment indicators. “The ITS Post-BPS East Java Province was assessed by the Central BPS as having innovative, creative programs and being able to collaborate on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities,” he explained.

Not only Ismaini, but also present at the event were ITS Deputy Chancellor II for Planning, Finance, and Infrastructure Ir Mas Agus Mardyanto ME Ph.D. as well as ITS Statistics Corner Advisor from BPS East Java Province Pramana Yhoga Chandra Kusuma SST MT and Hadi Suroso SSi MAP.

The ITS Statistics Department lecturer explained further that the ITS Postat – BPS East Java Province is progressively showing innovative work programs to support statistical needs at ITS. “ITS Postat – BPS East Java always strives to provide programs to support the main target of the Statistics Corner in making students become statistical agents,” he said.

Continuing this statement, currently, the ITS Postat – BPS East Java Province has the largest number of statistical agents, namely 88 students. “Not only that, the uniqueness of the statistical agent at Postat ITS – BPS East Java Province is that it also carries out Practical Work (KP) in 44 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in East Java,” he explained.

According to Ismaini, this achievement was one of the factors that led Postat ITS – BPS East Java Province to win this prestigious award. This momentum is considered a new achievement for Ismaini and the team to continue to innovate and create. “Being the first best Statistics Corner is a matter of pride for ITS and the ITS Statistics Department,” he said proudly.

This bespectacled woman also hopes that the title of the Best Statistics Corner by BPS can further encourage the teaching industry. Namely a collaboration between the teaching and learning process, research, and community service. “In this way, not only lecturers and students at ITS, but all parties can collaborate with Postat ITS – BPS East Java Province,” he explained.

Also proud of this achievement, the Head of the ITS Statistics Department, Dr. Kartika Fithriasari Msi, who is also the initiator of the East Java Province ITS – BPS Postat, revealed that the awards he has achieved will spur the East Java Province ITS – BPS Postat to be better and always look for breakthroughs. “In the future, new collaboration will continue to be pursued with Postat ITS – BPS East Java Province,” he said.
