ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) received as many as 2,211 new student candidates from the results of the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) in 2024 based on the official announcement from the Educational Testing Management Center (BPPP) at 15.00, Thursday (13/6). From the results of this selection, the average tightness for each study program (study program) at ITS reaches 10.99 percent.
Head of the Admissions Sub-directorate of the ITS Education Directorate Unggul Wasiwitono ST MEngSc said that of the quota that fulfills the SNBT entry pathway at ITS, the number of applicants this year reached 29,792 people and 2,211 of them were declared accepted. “This figure increased from the previous year both in terms of applicants and quota of students accepted,” said the lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering ITS.
Furthermore, Unggul explained that of the total 51 study programs offered by ITS, the D4 Civil Engineering Study Program, S1 Informatics Engineering, and D4 Business Statistics were the most popular this year. According to him, the change in study program selection rules that require prospective students to choose vocational study programs also adds to the trend of choosing ITS as a campus with various superior vocational study programs.
As one of the best State Universities (PTN) in Indonesia, ITS also managed to maintain its position as the 4th highest national Computer-Based Writing Test (UTBK) score average. Namely with an average score of 673.74.
For students who have been accepted, ITS offers various scholarship programs as much as 26 percent of the 20 percent obligation to provide scholarships to its students. These scholarships are intended to ease the financial burden on students’ parents, and ensure that students can focus on their education. “ITS is committed to continuously improving the quality of education and services to the community through various scholarship programs,” he added.
Unggul explained that for prospective students who have not been accepted through the SNBT pathway, ITS still offers various other entry pathways that are still available. “For students who have not had the opportunity to enter ITS through the SNBT pathway, they can register through the Partnership Independent Selection and General Independent Selection which are open until June 16,” said Unggul.
With the announcement of the 2024 SNBT results, ITS is ready to welcome new students with various facilities and support that have been prepared. ITS also continues to innovate in the field of education, providing a conducive learning environment and supporting student self-development.
