The award was given as an appreciation for the usefulness and development of all OSH practitioners and innovators in Asia.
Along with six other nominees, the man known as Adith was honored with the Safety Influencer award in the Outstanding Safety Practitioners category. The award recognizes practitioners from Asia who have had a major impact on safety and health over the past year.
Adith has an important role in the world of industry and education in Indonesia. One of his latest books is entitled Guidelines for the Implementation of OHS and Environmental Management Systems (SMK3L) which collaborates with the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikudristek) and was released in June 2024.
Not only that, the Head of the ITS Process Safety Engineering (RKP) Study Program also developed and socialized various K3 standards applied to industry with the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower. Furthermore, Adith also thanked all those who had supported him in the award, both direct support and social media such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. “So in addition to aspects of contribution and track record, public support through social media is also needed in the assessment process,” he said.
For this achievement, Adith hopes to contribute to supporting the implementation and improvement of safety culture in everyday life. This can be achieved by campaigning the importance of OHS awareness to the entire community. “My hope is that we can be more aware in the field of K3 in accordance with the regulations we have,” said Adith.
