ITS Campus, ITS News — Graduating with satisfactory grades is everyone’s wish, including Renata Zahabiyah and M Aldi Nugroho. The two graduates from the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)earned the title of best diploma graduate with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.88 at the 130th Graduation Ceremony at Graha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, Sunday (29/9).
The journey through the D4 (Applied Bachelor) study at ITS provided valuable provisions for the career paths of the two ITS graduates. Struggling with their fields of interest, Renata and Aldi not only achieved excellent grades in their lectures but also won titles in various competitions.

Renata admitted that her achievement was due to her strong determination in pursuing the academic field she chose. For her, the science of business statistics provides convenience in business management in an applicable manner. The insights gained in lectures were what succeeded in bringing her out as a champion in the 2023 National Statistical Analysis Week in Samarinda and various other competitions in the field of business analysis and infographics.

This graduate from the ITS Business Statistics Department said that her experience in many competitions provided learning to build relationships with other students. “The opportunity to compete in various regions can open our horizons to better appreciate diversity in society,” said the girl from Padang, West Sumatra.

In line with Renata, Aldi from the Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering (DTKI) ITS also chose the path of exploration in various competitions to express his love for the world of research. He also gave a similar view to Renata that the knowledge he gained during college was very applicable to be applied to long-term research and current industrial career prospects.

The knowledge he gained through lectures also made this young man born in 2001 successful as a senior researcher in the hydrogen car research team, Antasena ITS. Together with his team, Aldi won first place at the Chemical Engineering Research Competition 2022. “The journey in the research field provides valuable lessons to shape mentally in responding to problems and failures,” said the graduate from Kediri, East Java.
Through the values obtained, Renata and Aldi expressed their hope that the knowledge they gained could provide benefits to the community and the surrounding environment. Both are also grateful for all these achievements which certainly cannot be separated from the support of the ITS Vocational Faculty in making it easy for students to explore according to their fields.
