ITS Campus, ITS News — The achievements of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continue to flow until the end of 2024. This time, ITS demonstrated it through the acquisition of five Anugerah Diktisaintek awards given by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Ditjen Diktisaintek), Friday (13/12), at the Auditorium of Building D, Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendikti Saintek).
The Diktisaintek Award itself is a form of appreciation for the performance and contribution of stakeholders from universities, partners from ministries, institutions, the business world and industry, media and journalists in Indonesia. “This is the fourth year of the Diktisaintek Award which was previously called the Diktiristek Award,” said Acting Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Togar M. Simatupang.
At this event, ITS managed to win five awards, namely Gold Winner for the National Priority Award in the Blue Economy category by Prof. Ir. Raden Sjarief Widjaja PhD and Silver Winner for the Institutional Award in the PTN and PTS category, subcategory of Higher Education Institutions with Management of Foreign Student Study Permits 2024. Not only that, ITS also won two Bronze Winners for the Research, Technology, and Community Service Award in the Publication and Research category (Sinta Award) subcategory of Independent Cluster Institutions with the Highest Research Score in 2021 – 2023, and the Student Learning Award in the subcategory of Participating Higher Education Institutions in the Indonesia International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) with the best collaboration and cooperation.
On this occasion, ITS Rector Prof. Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD who was present to receive the award said that ITS always provides full support for the development of the capacity of its academic community. This is demonstrated, among others, through the provision of facilities for preparing for global studies such as IISMA. “The ITS Global Partnership Directorate provides various programs, one of which is through the Global Competencies Workshop,” explained Bambang.
According to this lecturer from the ITS Mechanical Engineering Department, in addition to encouraging students to be active in global studies, ITS also supports research development through the allocation of research funds for lecturers. He added that ITS provides Science Techno Park (STP) facilities as a means of research and development of superior products that are beneficial to society.
The alumnus of the University of Birmingham, England also expressed his appreciation for all ITS academics who supported the programs provided by ITS. “Hopefully this award can provide inspiration in the field of research and international cooperation,” he concluded hopefully.
