ITS Campus, ITS News — Continuously striving to meet industry needs has successfully brought Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) to the 9th position among the best universities in marketing according to EduRank. This achievement is the result of the integration of marketing science with technology and innovation.
Welcoming the achievements at the beginning of 2025, ITS Rector Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD revealed that ITS has been supported by various departments that facilitate fundamental learning in marketing science. Among them are the Department of Business Management, Department of Statistics, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Department of Information Systems, Postgraduate Program in Technology Management, and others.
Bambang explains that to deepen strengthening in marketing, ITS does not hesitate to collaborate to bring in the best practitioners and lecturers in marketing from within and outside the country. One of them is the success of ITS in bringing in partner lecturers from the MarkPlus Institute in the learning process in the Master of Technology Management (MMT) in TechnoMarketing Study Program. “It proves the contribution of ITS in developing science from every perspective,” he explained.
In the future, a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at ITS explained that ITS will continue to explore various possibilities of new fields of knowledge that can support learning in marketing. In addition, other strategies will be implemented such as developing a curriculum relevant to the industry, conducting interactive and innovative learning processes, improving the quality of lecturers and students, and providing internship opportunities and practical experiences for students.
Not only becoming an excellent campus in technology and innovation, Bambang hopes that ITS will be able to translate and maximize this excellence into an effective communication strategy. Later, students can be equipped with various soft skills and hard skills that are proficient and competent in marketing. “These include forecasting techniques, consumer behavior, branding, as well as data, market, and business analysis,” Bambang explained.
With all the existing efforts and achievements, the ITS Rector for the period 2024-2029 hopes that ITS can continue to develop as a catalyst for change by strengthening the synergy between technology, creativity, and strategy. He wants the country’s best institution to produce competent graduates in technology, education, and other sectors. “For the creation of an ITS that is adaptive, contributive, and competitive for national development,” Bambang said hopefully.
ITS’s initiative is a concrete manifestation of realizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 about the quality of education. Through this, ITS seeks to encourage improvement and strengthening of the quality of education both in terms of curriculum and human resources (HR).
