ITS Campus, ITS News — To improve the quality of event and training management, the University Leadership Development Center (ULDC) Pion team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) innovated the ITS Ticketing, Event Management, and Learning Center (I-Tem Center) platform. This concept is used as an innovative solution to support the improvement of human resource (HR) competencies in the campus environment.
The ULDC Pion ITS team member, Arindra Mutiara Rulianti ST, revealed that the number of events and training organized by the Directorate of Human and Organizational Resources ITS is increasing. Thus, the need for a more effective, efficient, and professional management system is also getting higher.
Event management’s tendency to be manually and not integrated causes various problems. The ITS Human and Organizational Resources Personnel Manager admitted that this hampered the efficiency and effectiveness of implementing activities. “Manual systems often lead to difficulty coordinating with participants and a high risk of miscommunication, resulting in decreased satisfaction,” he said.
The I-Tem Center is an integrated platform for managing all processes at an event from start to finish, especially those managed by ITS Human and Organizational Resources. This platform answers various challenges with excellent features such as ticketing, auto-reply, and automatic certificate distribution. “All of these features have been well-integrated thanks to an optimal and systematic system,” he explained.

Learning Center, part of the I-Tem Center, is also designed as a lead magnet to increase awareness of human resource and organizational improvement programs. All activities that have been conducted can be flexibly re-accessed by participants to be re-learned. “This will help participants to more easily understand the material in depth and apply it in the context of their personal development,” he explained.
This ITS Industrial and Systems Engineering alumnus realizes that integrated methods in the I-Tem Center are the answer in a digital era that demands speed and accuracy. Utilizing this more modern and integrated technology is designed to simplify the event and participant management process.
This is an effort ITS made to support its operations as a technology campus. In addition, this innovation is also an effort to provide information disclosure to the public.

With this innovation, the ITS ULDC Pion team won the Platinum Awardee award at the XXVIII National Quality and Productivity Convention (NQPC) 2024 in Bali in December last year. NQPC is an annual event that encourages the improvement of the quality and productivity of companies and organizations in Indonesia. The award is equivalent to second place at the national level.
The development of the I-Tem Center also supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9, where this platform demonstrates the development of digital infrastructure to support campus operational needs. In addition, the I-Tem Center also supports SDG 4 through its learning center feature. The feature encourages competency development and better education for the ITS community, contributing to increased access to quality education and learning.
Although the I-Tem Center focuses more on ITS internal needs, this platform is expected to be accessible to external parties to support ITS strategic cooperation. Through the Learning Center, ITS also plans to utilize the platform as a broader education and training tool. “We are optimistic that the I-Tem Center will be a game-changer in event management and can support campus operations at ITS,” he concluded.
