ITS Campus, ITS News — There is always a unique story that accompanies every graduation moment at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). This time, it comes from two twin students from the ITS Departement of Computer Engineering, namely Muhammad Rasyid Ibenzani and Muhammad Risyad Ibenzani, who graduated together in the 131st ITS Graduation Ceremony on the second day at Grha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, Sunday (13/4).
The twins who are often called Rasyid and Risyad managed to enter and graduate from college together at ITS within 4.5 years. Studying in the same department and even the same classes was experienced by both as identical twins. “Oftentimes people also get confused in telling us apart,” said Risyad, the younger sibling.
The togetherness of the twin sons of the couple Ibenzani and Inayatul Wahyuni was also reflected in their life during college. The twins from Tangerang admitted to often being in the same group and even studying together. Emotional and mental support was also always given by these older and younger siblings to each other in their journey of pursuing knowledge.
Even so, taking education in the same department was apparently not something that was planned beforehand. The two had chosen several different options, but were eventually destined to be accepted together in the ITS Computer Engineering Department. “From the beginning I did choose this department, unlike my older brother who had several other choices,” revealed Risyad.
Even so, apparently their childhood had already shaped them to love the field of knowledge related to hardware and software. Games and computers were their friends at that time. “Because sometimes we were limited from playing games, we liked to tinker with computers to find out,” added Rasyid.

Not only games and computers, the twins who are 15 minutes apart in birth also have a hobby of drawing. These three hobbies then directed them towards various things that supported their interests. Starting from joining activities in the ITS Student Activity Unit (UKM) ITS Foreign Language Society (IFLS) in drawing, to internship and assignments related to those interests.
Not only that, both also had final project (TA) topics that were still in line, namely about making applications that make it easier for users to learn and operate multi-robot systems. “The difference is I am more towards the form of the real world with robots, while Risyad is more towards the simulated environment that was created,” explained the older brother.
Even though they have many similarities, both still have specific fields of interest. Rasyid himself is more interested in software development while Risyad is more interested in hardware development.

At the next level, the twins who were born in Medan on May 18, 2003, have already set their respective targets after being declared graduated. Risyad, who wants a career in robotics, feels that continuing a Master’s degree is the right choice for him. Different from Rasyid who has thought about working in a company related to game development.
Finally, ITS has become the place of educational journey for the two twin students. This is in line with supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4, namely Quality Education. Both also expressed hope that with their graduation together with the other graduates, this can be the starting gate in reaching the dreams they want to achieve. (ITS PUBLIC RELATIONS)
