ITS Campus, ITS News — Continuously committed to striving for safety and comfort in learning and supporting student creativity, the Information Systems Department of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) officially presented Digital Innovation‘s Creative Co-Working Space (CCWS) on Friday (13/12). The facility, which is also open to the public, is located in Building 2 on floors 1 to 3 of the ITS Information Systems Department.

Head of the ITS Digital Innovation (iD) Study Program Ir Achmad Holil Noor Ali MKom said CCWS, with an area of about 65 square meters, provides various facilities that are expected to support creativity and the concept of work-life balance for students, especially for students from the Information Systems Department and Digital Innovation Study Program, which are also under the same department.

The new facility is divided into several areas, including an exhibition area for student innovation products on the first floor. Next, on the 2nd floor, there is a work and discussion area with various forms, such as floor sitting, bar, and couple seats. Not only that, this floor also presents a games and sports arena. Meanwhile, on the 3rd floor, there are work and discussion rooms and a music area.

Regarding the operational schedule, the lecturer, who is familiarly called Holil, said the CCWS will be open Monday through Saturday from 08.00 to 22.00. In the future, this area is expected to be an area for students to channel creative ideas that were previously only in the form of prototypes to be converted into widely valuable products. “So that they can channel their competence and creativity and not be too stressed with assignments,” he added.

Holil revealed that CCWS, located adjacent to the iD Study Program lecturer room, can be utilized by all ITS students from the SI Department and the iD Study Program. In this case, the iD Study Program’s output is its students’ ability to create, distribute, and commercialize innovative products. “So this room can be likened to a laboratory as their first step,” said Holil.
