The Department of Architecture, which is under the auspices of the Faculty of Civil Technology and Planning (FTSP), opened a Postgraduate Study Program in Architecture from the 1993/1994 school year. From the 1993/1994 academic year to the 2004/2005 academic year, 278 alumni were graduated from 888 existing students. Starting in the 2001/2002 academic year the Doctor of Architecture program was opened.
In developing the study program, the Architecture Department collaborates with Univ.of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), DPU Univ.of College London (UCL-UK), Univ.of Manchester (UK), Univ.of Melbourne (Australia) and Univ.of Kyoto (Japan). The collaboration is in the form of guest lectures, joint research, and other academic activities for the development of science.
Supported by 44 teaching staff with qualifications: 4 professors, 8 doctors, and 32 masters. The supporting facilities available are as follows: Lecture Room, 10 Laboratories, Reading Room with more than 6000 library materials, 18 international scientific journals, Internet connection, and other facilities.
The purpose of the Architecture Postgraduate Education Program is to improve the level of mastery of knowledge gained during education in the undergraduate program so that it has the ability to:
• Participate in the development of the field of architecture and follow the latest developments at home and abroad. • Formulate approaches to solving various problems through scientific reasoning. • Improve professional services through research and development. • Develop professional skills in a broader spectrum by linking the field of architecture.

The Architecture Master Program is carried out in 4 semesters (2 years). Total credit load of 40 credits, consisting of compulsory subjects, elective courses, research, and thesis writing in accordance with the curriculum. Academic activities in the form of mastering the theory are by attending lectures, repeating lessons, activities in laboratories, studios, library studies, playing an active role in discussions, seminars, enriching knowledge, and conducting research and following the process of study/exam evaluation. Other academic activities are field exploration (case studies) and the development of science and professions. The academic calendar for the first semester starts in early September, while the second semester starts in early February and ends in June.
The Architecture Doctoral Program is carried out in 4 semesters (2 years), a total credit load of 50 credits, consisting of main courses, supporting courses, research, and writing a thesis or dissertation in accordance with the curriculum.
