Wednesday 13 November 2024, the Tuban Regency Health, Population Control and Family Planning Service (Dinkes P2KB) carried out the Kick Off activity for preparing the Regional Action Plan Document (RAD) for Tuberculosis Management (TBC) Tuban Regency for 2025-2030. This activity is a collaboration between the Tuban Regency P2KB Health Office and the Center for Regional Potential Studies and Community Empowerment (PDPM) Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. This kick off activity was opened by Tuban Regional Secretary Budi Wiyana while emphasizing that the preparation of this RAD requires input from all relevant stakeholders and development actors in Tuban Regency on how to handle TB that has been carried out so far and in the future, what things need to be done with highlighting local wisdom in Tuban Regency and easy to realize.
Dr. Sutikno, Head of the ITS PDPM Study Center, said that in 2023 the Minimum Service Standards for Tuberculosis suspects in Tuban Regency will be 19,584 people (147.6%) from the target of 13,270 (100%). Meanwhile, 2,411 TBC cases were found and treated (90.2%) out of the target of 2,405 people (90%) with a death rate of 82 people. The population of Tuban Regency in 2023 will be 1,258,368 people. So according to the National TBC RAN for the elimination of TB by 2030 the number of cases must be reduced to at least 845 cases with a maximum death rate of 78 people (with the current population).

Ratna Sari said that the preparation of the TB Control RAD was the basis and guideline for OPD and Tuban Regency Regional Government officials in encouraging TB control efforts. Provide a reference for coordinating planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities to achieve synergy in joint efforts to improve TB control in Tuban Regency.
Dean of ITS FKK Dr.dr. Imam Susilo., Sp.PA(K)., MIAP, one of the drafting teams, also said that in preventing tuberculosis, it is not enough to focus only on curative measures (treatment), but also on preventive activities to prevent the occurrence of TB by providing education to the public about the dangers of TB and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are further actions, namely rehabilitative activities, efforts to restore health and enable patients to make peace with their illness so that they can continue their life happily.
The activity of preparing the Tuban District Tuberculosis Control Regional Action Plan for 2025-20230 is in line with the community service road map of the Center for Regional Potential Studies and Community Empowerment (PDPM) Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, namely governance management manage regional government. This activity is also in accordance with the sustainable development goals (SDG’s), namely goal number (3) healthy and prosperous life, goal number (11) sustainable cities and communities and goal number (17) partnerships in achieving goals.
