The ITS team together with the Kalitangi Asri Fishermen’s Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan), Romokalisari Subdistrict
The Center for Regional Potential Studies and Community Empowerment (Pusdi PDPM) of the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya carried out monitoring and evaluation (monev) activities and assistance to fishermen groups in Tambak Osowilangun, Romokalisasi and Tenggulunan Villages. This activity was carried out on Saturday, February 8, 2025. This monev and assistance is part of the Pelindo Teman Nelayan program initiated by Pelindo in collaboration with ITS. The Pelindo Teman Nelayan program is a social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program from the Pelindo Group.
Head of the Usaha Maju Bersama Fishermen Group of Tambak Osowilangun Village, Solichan said that he had harvested soka crabs 2 (two) times. The total produced was 4 kg of soka crabs. Solichan hopes to continue to increase the harvest of soka crab cultivation with crab apartment media. The ITS team will help to expand access to marketing and sales of soka crabs.
ITS Team with the Joint Advanced Fishermen’s Group of Tambak Osowilangun Village
The Kalitangi Asri (Neka) Fishermen’s Fish Farming Group (Pokdakan) in Romokalisari Village just started crab seeding 3 (three) days ago. Muhamad Nur Kholik said that the soft shell crab seeds were purchased from fishermen in Romokalisari. The soft shell crab feed is made from small pieces of bulk fish. In accordance with the direction of the ITS Team. The first harvest of soft shell crabs is estimated to be in two to three weeks. Members of the Neka Pokdakan take turns monitoring the development of the soft shell crabs.

The head of the Maju Bersama fishermen group in Tenggulunan Gresik Village, Faishal, said that they had just completed the crab apartment set up. The current progress is filling the water filter tank with seawater. Soka crab seeds have been ordered and will be sent on Monday, February 10, 2025.
