Located in the Biblioteka room on the 2nd floor of the ITS Library building, this seminar was different from the previous seminar. If previously it was held offline or online, this time it was carried out in a hybrid manner, meaning combining offline and online. The seminar organized by the library in collaboration with BSN (National Standardization Agency) took place on Wednesday (12/5/2022). The theme of this seminar is “Standardization and Downstreaming of Innovation Supporting the Competitiveness of National Products” The purpose of organizing this activity is to provide knowledge about SNI and how to access it and also to provide inspiration and motivation so that every innovation product already has a standard determined by the government so that the product can be consumed by the public safely and with quality. Thus the innovation product is very safe when consumed by the wider community This seminar featured 3 Speaker who are qualified in their fields, namely:
Speaker 1: Zul Amri ST (Head of Bureau of HKLI BSN), Title of material: Standards and conformity assessment and global trade Speaker 2: ️ Agus Muhamad Hatta, ST, M.Si, Ph.D., Title of material: The role of standardization in research and downstream innovation supports the competitiveness of national products Speaker 3: Minanuddin, SIP., M.Hum (Coordinator of Substances for Information Services and Libraries of BSN), Title of material: Standard as a reference in education and business. Moderated by Agus Setiawan, SE. (ITS Associate Librarian) and MC Iwan Juniarto.
The event began with the opening and singing of the Indonesia Raya song and the ITS hymn, then the Head of the Library, Edy Suprayitno, SS, M.Hum. gave his opening remarks, then the Vice Chancellor IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Alumni, Bambang Pramujati, S.T., M.SC.Eng, Ph.D also gave a speech as well as a Keynote Speech. This seminar was attended by more than 137 participants both offline and online, starting at 09.00 until 12.00 WIB. The participants of the webinar consisted of several elements of society, including SNI Corner managers throughout Indonesia, Central BSN staff, ITS academics, ITS librarians, and SNI observers. On this occasion, apart from the seminar, there was also a Renewal of Agreement and Cooperation (MoU) between the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Surabaya and the Indonesian National Standardization Agency (BSN).(yag)
