The ITS Library collaborates with IEEE to organize the Article Processing Charge (APC) program, for this reason, there must be socialization for ITS academic community users. Held on Friday (26/1/24), the APC Open Access IEEE-ITS socialization webinar started at 09.00 to 11.00 WIB, attended by approximately 120 participants from various circles, especially ITS Academics, Researchers, and Librarians. The presenting resource person was Alex Liu Yupeng (IEEE Client Service Asia Manager) and moderated by Deden Ramdhani (Account executive/IEEE product specialist).
The event began by showing a video profile of the ITS Library, opening and praying together guided by MC Eva Mursidah (ITS Librarian), then listening to the song Indonesia Raya and the ITS hymn, followed by remarks from the Head of the Library, Edy Suprayitno, SS, M.Hum. A group photo session was held after Mr. Edy delivered his welcoming words.
The aim of the IEEE -ITS APC Program is an IEEE program that provides subsidies for article publication costs for authors from ITS to support the increase in the number of open access (OA) publications in IEEE journals. Through APC, ITS Academic Community can publish articles in IEEE journals for FREE. There are 10 APC tokens available. This APC program is not competitive and as long as tokens are available APC applications will be accepted.
The terms and conditions of the IEEE -ITS APC Program are:
Participants asked many questions during the discussion, because they really needed to publish their scientific articles in internationally reputable journals like IEEE, especially for free because if they paid, they would have to provide around 30 million rupiah or even more depending on the price of the journal. Hopefully in the future ITS subscription vendors will provide more programs like this APC. (yag)
